Our team is travelling to Africa this summer to engage in international veterinary work with a focus on wildlife conservation and community outreach. First, we will start our trip in Lilongwe, Malawi, where we will complete an externship with the Lilongwe Wildlife Trust, assist with rehabilitation of native species, and learn more about conservation efforts. Afterwards, we will be travelling to Sokoine University of Agriculture in Tanzania to not only work with their mobile agricultural service, but to also participate in educational outreach. We will also gain experience with spays and neuters with assistance from experienced surgeons at the only veterinary school in Tanzania. Our last placement will be at the Zanzibar Animal Affections Society, an organization that does great work with the locals by offering community clinics and medical consultations as well as animal welfare outreach. Your support would directly help us make a difference in these vulnerable communities and allow us to contribute to some remarkable organizations.
