2017 SEA 1

Team South East Asia 1:
Macy Holliday, Samantha Rudkins, Meaghan Roque

Hi everyone! We are all so excited to begin our journey with the 2017 Global Vets Initiative in South East Asia. The three of us feel so lucky to contribute to such an important international project. Like many students in the 2017 team, our goal is to improve the health and welfare of shelter animals, assist in controlling the overpopulation of stray dogs and cats, as well as aid in wildlife rehabilitation in sanctuaries. We will be visiting two animal shelters, as well as a wildlife and elephant sanctuary in Thailand this summer. We are excited to bring the knowledge and skills that we have learned at OVC, as well as our positive and hardworking attitudes to make a difference in the lives of the less fortunate. The urgent need for medical supplies and treatment for these shelter animals is a major problem that the people of Thailand are trying to combat, and they need our help. We are all working hard this year to help fundraise for the supplies and resources required, and any help that you may be willing to offer would be appreciated more than you know! With your support, we will be able to fulfill our goals this summer to offer veterinary care and attention where it is so desperately needed; and we cannot wait to make a difference!
